August Washing Basket Video

Snow and Ice both love my washing baskets and when ever I try to take washing anywhere Snow will jump it it even with clothes in it.

After a few failed videos I caught this, you can't really tell but I am holding the basket up as if I was going to get my washing and he just jumps in!!!

August Blanket Video

So Snow decides that he doesn't like the blanket that we have on top of their cat tower and I managed to catch him on video pulling it down.

Apologies for the quality I have to quickly grab my phone while he is doing these things and the quality is rubbish.

August

August has seen Snow become attention seeking and quite naughty.

It has been a bit of trial and error in trying to deter this and we are still not quite there so if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

When we are in the living room he likes to attack the television which we would rather he didn't as he is bound to break it. Telling him off was not working and I found that when I stood up to take him off he would go all flat and floppy so I couldn't pick him up which is funny but at the time not so much.

Now we are trying the removal technique (using children methods now!!!) and if he does it more than once I will pick him up put him in the hallway and shut him out for a few minutes.

But this no longer is working and as soon as the door is open he is straight back on the tele. After putting him out twice maybe three times he does stop.

On a good note I managed to catch on film a few things that Snow has been doing recently. I will put these up as separate posts as it is easier.

July

In July the weather got very hot. Our Bengals are house cats so it is hard to keep it cool in the house without having windows and doors open. To combat this in the evening we shut them out of the living room for a little while and opened all the windows and the patio doors. Then shut them in the living room and opened the rest of the house for a bit. This really worked.

To try and help them get through the hot weather we thought we would try them in the bath. Bengals are known to be keen on water but we had never tried.

Initially we opened the bathroom and let the tap run which they were intrigued. Then it moved on to paddling!!

Also I gave them some ice in a bowl. Snow didn't really get it he kept trying to tip the bowl over like he does with the water bowl (we have had to get a dog bowl so its too heavy!!) but Ice got the idea I think.

Also we did a little DIY well my husband did. The cat tree podiums were too small for them now so he changed the top to another platform for them to sleep on which they do.

June

June was a funny month as they found lots of new things they can do.

Sleeping in weird positions

Getting in the way whilst making our portable BBQ - it was just the right size for his bum!!

And Ice discovered how to get on top of the door!! it is very clever, he had worked out how to shut the door which is funny when Snow is in the hall he looks like a naughty kid shut out. Then he worked out how to shut the door enough so that he could get on top of the door frame from the mantlepiece.

May

May saw more sleeping on their bed.

They also discovered climbing humans!!!
